Privacy by Architecture, Not Just by Promise
Most privacy policies are written by lawyers to protect companies. This one is written by parents to protect your family. At Parent Grown Software, we believe that the only way to truly guarantee privacy is to build software that is technically incapable of violating it.
The "Zero-Data" Summary
If you are looking for the "TL;DR" (Too Long; Didn't Read), here it is: We do not collect, store, share, or sell any data from our applications because we never receive it in the first place.
The Core Fact: Our apps, including Calculore, are designed to function entirely offline. Because the software does not connect to the internet, there is no "pipe" for your data to travel through. Your child’s progress, mistakes, and usage patterns stay on your device and nowhere else.
Technical Specifics (For the Tech-Savvy Parent)
We have stripped away the industry-standard "bloatware" that usually handles data harvesting. When you use a Parent Grown app, here is what is not inside the code:
No Third-Party SDKs: We do not use Software Development Kits from advertising networks or data brokers. There are no "trackers" hidden in our code.
No API Calls: The app never "calls home" to a server. It doesn't check in with us to tell us how long you’ve used it or what buttons you’ve pressed.
No Cloud Storage: Your child’s educational data is stored locally on your phone or tablet. If you delete the app, the data is gone. We don't keep a backup because we don't have access to it.
No Analytics: We don't use "heatmaps" or session recording. We improve our apps based on direct feedback from parents like you, not by spying on your children’s clicks.
Why This Matters
The "Educational Tech" industry is currently built on a model of constant surveillance. By removing the internet requirement and the tracking code, we have removed the risk.
COPPA & GDPR: We don't just "comply" with children's privacy laws; we bypass the need for them by ensuring no "Personal Identifying Information" (PII) is ever generated or transmitted.
Security: You cannot hack a database that doesn't exist. Your family’s digital footprint remains exactly where it belongs: in your hands.
Privacy Policy for Calculore
Effective Date: March 13, 2026
We built the Calculore app as a strictly educational tool designed for safe, offline use. This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand our practices regarding your data when you or your children use Calculore.
1. No Data Collection Calculore is designed to be a 100% safe environment for children. The app does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information, user data, or analytics.
2. Offline Functionality Calculore does not require an internet connection to function. All gameplay, scoring, and progress tracking (such as "The Alchemist's Log" and potion streaks) are stored strictly locally on your individual device and are never transmitted to our servers or any third parties.
3. No Third-Party Tracking or Ads We do not use any third-party analytics, crash reporting tools, or advertising networks within Calculore. There are no in-app purchases, targeted advertisements, or external tracking mechanisms of any kind.
4. COPPA Compliance Calculore complies fully with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Because we do not collect any personal information from our users, we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13.
5. Changes to This Policy If we ever decide to update Calculore to include features that require data collection (which we currently have no plans to do), we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly and clearly summarize any changes.
